Welcome to the Trade Show Guru, WordPress blog #4,427,555 (give or take a few hundred). Although I call myself a “guru“, which I will explain more in later posts, I admit that I can be a bit slow to start using new technology. I’m not ashamed to admit that I didn’t “trust” ATM machines when they first came out, and for years would still go inside the bank to deal with a real human. And I was one of the last people I know to get a cell phone. But when I change, I change. I go inside a bank about twice a year now, if that. I no longer have a “land line” at my house, I rely only on my cell phone. Anyway, I seldom read blogs until a year ago. Now for the past six months or so, I’ve been following a handful of blogs regularly, which again, will be the subjects of future posts. One blogger in particular inspired me to finally bite the bullet and start my own blog. I doubt that I will be as prolific with posts as any of these blogs, but I will try. The Trade Show Guru will mix business with pleasure, and other stuff. You will find solid trade show exhibiting advice posted here on a “regular” basis, but you’ll also probably get a lot of general observations, thoughts, and the occasional random rant. My first few posts will be about marketing in general, and trade show marketing, but I also intend to introduce my “friends of the trade show guru” series to thank those blogs and bloggers who have inspired me, and to point out blogs that I think are interesting.
