I’ve been an avid reader of GroMap for awhile now and I agree it is a good read.

As to spam it amuses me how they always use some form of flattery to win you over, and if that doesn’t work they mention that they’ve subscribed to my RSS feed, as if that would prevent me from deleting their comments. Morons.

Hey Rudy,
Because I use Bad Behavior and Akismet, I get very few spam comments, and the few I do suffer a quick and painful death… I don’t think I’m anywhere near being a “Big Blogger”… not by a long, long shot.
It’s more the spammy comments that I see getting by on other blogs that bother me, because it just encourages spammers to keep on spamming.

Seriously, I can’t imagine if my blog receives hundreds of comments. I’ll be spending hours weeding out spam. As it is right now, with 5 or so spams each day, I get annoyed.

So if you get a ton of comment spams, you’re on your way to the Big Blogging Top, Steve! Congrats!

Yes, I was on vacation (and I’m always busy). It was great. First real vacation in a very long time. I “disconnected” from the internet (work, play, everything) and I’ll have to say it was refreshing… especially not reading any “news”. But not it’s back to the real world. ~ Steve

Hey Steve – In typical fashion for me I read the whole post, but then proceeded to ignore any instructions and if I remember correctly left a comment that was not an entry but an actual spam comment left on my site. Let me go check that post….. Yep, I left a true spam comment that you judged “a good example of a BAD generic spam comment”. heh.
