I had never seen the Broadway show or the movie so I picked up The Phantom of the Opera at Blockbuster. Wow! What a show and what music! I saw it in the theater with my mom and am watching it again at my movie club next week. Not only is it a gripping and inspirational story but the composition of how it's all pieced together (the flashbacks and flash-forwards; you don't really know what's happening "now" until maybe halfway thru) is truly masterful. Throw in some great acting and cinematography, and you've got yourself . . . an Oscar winner! (I also agree that Netflix rocks!)
